Our Team

Scott Dewey Director, Spiritual Director, Community Chaplain In my work with Centering Way my joy is helping people tend to the soul! I grew up roaming the wilderness surrounding my rural Colorado home, cultivating a contemplative life before I knew that lingo. My whole adult life I’ve been equally captivated by the beauty and challenge of crowded city surroundings – in Chicago, Bangkok, Denver, and Marghita, Romania (where I live part time).   I’ve traveled fast and slow, on overflowing full and on bleak empty - so I have a personal passion for the ways action and contemplation complement each other.   Always companioned by Jesus - sometimes incognito. I’ve got a wise wife with tattoos and multicolored hair, and four marvelous grown kids. When I can, I fly fish.

Nancy Black Psychotherapist, Spiritual Director As a therapist and spiritual director, I enjoy working with staff, residents, and students at Joshua Station and the Mile High Ministries community. I am also an in-house clinical therapist for Advocates for Victims of Assault in Dillon, Colorado. In the past year I’ve co-founded Centering Way, and lead workshops and retreats that tend the soul. I’ve been married to Jeremy for 38 years, and love living in Silverthorne, Colorado with the beauty of the Rockies around us. The joy of our lives are our two grandkids, Olivia, 5 and Cooper, 2 who live in Denver, as well as our three grown kids who all live in Colorado.

Ben Edwards Communications I work as the Youth Director at Joshua Station, a Transformational Housing Program in Denver, CO. I feel like a guiding practice of my life is attempting to pay attention to the intersection of action and contemplation. I am honored to be given the chance to explore that intersection alongside such incredible people at Centering Way.   Nicole and I live in Commerce City with our 2 kids, Emery and Kilian, and their "furry brother", Zero.
